Goddess Chocolate Milk | Stress Relieving Adaptogenic Drinks
What we put into our body creates our physical reality.
I like to put beneficial things in my body, especially when on my mensies.
Your diet can impact bloating, inflammation, cramps, bleeding, cycle length, cycle regularity and more.
Adaptogens are a must for optimal health, in my opinion.
What are adaptogens?
Adaptogens increase the state of non-specific resistance in stress and decrease sensitivity to stressors, which results in stress protection, and prolong the phase of resistance (stimulatory effect). Instead of exhaustion, a higher level of equilibrium (the homeostasis) is attained the heterostasis.
Basically, adaptogens are certain herb or mushrooms thought to have health benefits.
My R&D has been a delicious endeavor.
Over the years I have researched and enjoyed the development of delicious and healthy drinks I can enjoy when PMSing, bleeding on their mensies, and just feeling general hormonal imbalances.
Here are some yummy drink blends I prefer to drink during certain times of my cycle:
Goddess Drink Blend (menstrual bleeding; day time)
1tbs Cacao
1/2 - 1 tsp Shatavari
1 - 2 tsp Reishi
Cinnamon
Honey
1/4 tsp Maca
1/4 tsp Lions Mane (if I feel groggy beyond maca energy)
chunk o' Coconut Butter
splash o' Nut Milk
scoop Fenugreek
capsule or 1/4 tsp Astragalus
200mg L-theanine
Goddess Drink Blend (menstrual bleeding; night time)
1tbs Cacao
1/2 - 1 tsp Shatavari
2 tsp Reishi
1 capsule or 1/4 tsp Curcumin (turmeric + black pepper)
Honey
chunk o' Coconut Butter
splash o' Nut Milk
scoop Fenugreek
capsule or 1/4 tsp Ashwagandha (take a break after 2 weeks, if taking every day)
Magnesium Oxide
Raging Hormones Drink Blend (pms, obviously)
1tbs Cacao
1tsp Shatavari
1 - 3 tsp Reishi
Vitex / Chasteberry
1 capsule or 1/4 tsp Curcumin (turmeric + black pepper)
